Prague: Easter Break
This was my first visit to Prague and I was so pleasantly surprised. I had good expectations for the city but it blew me away - it wasn't like the other European cities I had been to which is what I thought. The beautiful, Eastern European buildings were painted in warm hues and towered over the streets. The atmosphere of the city reminded me of Venice with it's busy yet chilled vibe.
Hotel to stay in Prague: Ventana Hotel Prague - Gorgeous hotel situated right on Old Town Square, double height ceilings and lovely vintage interior.
We were lucky that we had such incredible weather despite snow being predicted for our weekend. On our first day we woke up super early to see the sunrise over Charles Bridge which I strongly recommend after seeing how hectic it is just a couple of hours later.
Top things to do:
Wake up for sunrise at Charles Bridge
Eat at the Lokal restaurant - cheap but amazing quality and surrounded by locals
Wander around the quaint streets
Teresa U Rooftop Bar - beautiful views over old town, but the services was slightly slow so we only went for drinks not food!
Easter/Christmas Markets - the best time to go!
